Since its establishment 10 years ago, Johann and Maria have learnt much about the olive oil industry. In particular, they have gained a significant appreciation of the dedication and commitment involved in olive growing, from initial soil preparation, to the selection, planting and maintenance of trees, all vital for producing fruit of the highest quality. This commitment has enabled them to establish a reputable name, and products which are highly sought after throughout the region and Victoria.

 

  

A Historical Beginning

Long after migrating to Australia with her family (aged 10), Maria’s Italian heritage and aspiration to grow her own olives have lead this duo to establish Mount View Olive Oil grove, and produce their own olive oil, table olives and olive oil products.
 
Born and raised in the southern Italian province of Reggio Calabria, Maria grew up immersed in a culture steeped in history and long-standing traditions. Freshly-grown produce was always at hand to complement the family’s Mediterranean diet, and included olives grown on the family’s farm in the town of Molochio.
